‘Avengers Doomsday’ Eyes 165-Minute Runtime: Here’s Where It Stands Among Longest to Shortest Avengers Films

Ahead of the widely anticipated release of “Avengers: Doomsday” in December 2026, tickets for the film will go on sale next week. Consequently, the runtime for the Robert Downey Jr.-led project has been revealed to the audience as 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes).

According to The Hollywood Reporter coverage, the upcoming MCU project will go live with ticket sales from July 20, almost five months in advance. This will be done for the Infinity Vision theaters, which is a select opportunity for fans to witness the greatness of the Marvel film in all its glory. The 165-minute runtime makes it one of the highest in the studio’s Avengers projects.

With the start of the sixth phase, MCU now has 38 films under its belt. And it is only the 2019-released “Avengers: Endgame” that manages to edge out with a longer duration, doing so with 181 minutes. This makes it longer than the 2018 film “Infinity War,” 2012’s “The Avengers” and the 2015 release “Age of Ultron”.

Here’s a list of the longest to shortest Avengers films:

“Avengers: Endgame” (2019): 3 hours 1 minute (181 minutes)

Avengers: Doomsday” (2026): 2 hours 45 minutes (165 minutes)

“Avengers: Infinity War” (2018): 2 hours 29 minutes (149 minutes)

“The Avengers” (2012): 2 hours 23 minutes (143 minutes)

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015): 2 hours 21 minutes (141 minutes)

In the 18 years that Marvel has been releasing films over six phases now, “The Marvels” comes out as the briefest. An average of 2 hours and 11 minutes remains the optimal point across the board.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is clashing with “Dune: Part Three” at the box office as the two films hope for a Barbenheimer repeat with their Dunesday meet-up. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal and Anthony Mackie in the main roles, the Russo Brothers directorial will hit the screens on December 18.
