‘Varanasi’: On Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Birthday, SS Rajamouli Wishes His ‘Kumbha’
On the occasion of Malayalam actor-producer-director Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday, SS Rajamouli took to social media to wish him. He also addressed him as “Kumbha,” which is his character from the movie. In “Varanasi,” Prithviraj Sukumaran plays an evil force that has survived through time. He manipulates Rudra (Mahesh Babu) to find some artifacts from the period of “Ramayana” and “Mahabharata,” as the world deals with a huge crisis. “Varanasi” is described as a sci-fi mythological film that travels across continents.

The Kumbha who is destined to make his mark on the world.” The actor is grinning as SS Rajamouli chats with him in the pic. The two are seen in an outdoor locale. The movie is slated to release in 2027. SS Rajamouli and team were filming in Georgia some time back. The team also filmed an extensive schedule in the wilderness of Kenya, which forms an integral part of the story. The team has filmed across countries. However, SS Rajamouli clarified that they did not shoot in Antarctica as it was reported. Instead, they recreated those visuals at a different location, which was a more feasible move.
