Sidharth Malhotra-Led ‘The Vvaan’ Set To Surpass ‘Student of The Year’ As His Fourth-Highest Grosser

Despite Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam: The Conclusion” grabbing the maximum screens, “The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest” continues its steady run in its second week at the box office. The folklore fantasy-thriller currently stands at ₹65.32 crore and is now all set to cross the lifetime business of his Hindi debut, “Student of the Year” (₹70 crore) to become the actor’s fourth-highest grosser.

While the film will challenge Karan Johar directorial, it would be interesting to see whether it will take on “Kapoor & Sons,” as it has slowed down its pace at the ticket windows. Nevertheless, the film has emerged as a major success in the domestic market, with Bihar contributing a significant chunk due to the film’s depiction of Chhath Puja and the song “Chhathi Maiya,” which helped it connect with audiences in the state, where the festival is celebrated on a large scale.

Since there are no Hindi releases this Friday, it will retain a good number of screens, ensuring a smooth run at the box office.

The film’s music was composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Vishal Mishra, Amit Trivedi, Sam C. S., Yash Narvekar and Raahi, with lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir, Kumaar, Kaushal Kishore, Shabbir Ahmed, Tanishk Bagchi, Aniket Shukla and The Shloka. It is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, who is one of the co-directors of the popular web show “Panchayat.”

“The Vvaan” also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor and Arunabh Kumar with Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions.
