Shreya Ghoshal On Milestone Sold-Out Show in Toronto: ‘That Love is What ‘Unstoppable’ Means To Me’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Shreya Ghoshal’s Unstoppable Tour continues having a dream run. The songstress recently sold-out Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena also made her the first female artist with that record to her name.
One of the biggest names in playback singing in India, Ghoshal has been part of soundtracks and independent music for over two decades. Currently in Seattle, Washington, in the US, she looks back at the record-breaking night with much fondness, exclusively sharing with Variety India, “Toronto was such a special night for me. The fact that the show was sold out within a day of the pre-sale going live made it even more special, and then to walk onto that stage and see a packed arena was a feeling I can’t really put into words. It’s something I’ll always be grateful for.”

Acknowledging the love received over the years from audiences the world over, she says, “It has always encouraged me to keep going, keep exploring and keep pushing myself as an artist. That’s what makes moments like Toronto so special for me. To experience that kind of love from an audience so far from home was incredibly moving.”
She concludes, “In many ways, that love is what Unstoppable means to me. It’s what keeps the journey moving, and I feel very lucky to have that with me wherever I go.”
