Rasha Thadani and Abhay Verma Starrer ‘Laikey Laikaa’ Locked For Valentine’s Day 2027 Release (EXCLUSIVE)
“Laikey Laikaa,” directed by Saurabh Gupta, has Rasha Thadani and Abhay Verma in lead roles. It is an intense love story set in the heartland of India. Variety India learns that the shoot of the film is over and the team is now working on the post production. The film was supposed to hit theaters in summer 2026 but now it has been moved to 2027. The makers are locking in a Valentine’s Day release for the gritty and intense romance.
The team is now planning to film another solo song with Thadani. In 2025, she featured in the song “Uyi Amma” from “Azaad.” The song, which has over 552 million views so far on YouTube, had viewers praising Thadani’s dance moves.

Those who have seen the rushes of “Laikey Laikaa” are praising the performances of Thadani and Verma. Music has always been an important part of a movie’s publicity campaign and makers want to utilize it to the fullest by filming a special song on Thadani. She has already sung the song, “Chaap Tilak” that also features the band, Faridkot. Makers of “Laikey Laikaa” have not revealed the genre of the new song and other details.
Thadani was last seen in the Telugu movie, “Srinivasa Mangapuram” where she was paired with Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, who is the nephew of Mahesh Babu. Abhay Verma’s “Operation Safed Sagar” on Netflix is one of the best-received Indian web series of 2026. He also has Shah Rukh Khan’s “King” and “JC” in his upcoming slate of movies.
