‘Ramayana’ USA Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor, Yash Starrer Crosses $150K in Premiere Pre-Sales Within 24 Hours

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s “Ramayana: Part One” has crossed $150,000 in premiere advance bookings in the United States within 24 hours of ticket sales opening, according to trade estimates reported by Sacnilk. The early numbers offer an indication of overseas audience interest in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the Indian epic, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026.

US advance bookings opened on October 15, with tickets available through Fandango. The film is listed across theatrical formats, including IMAX and 3D at participating locations. While the initial pre-sales figure marks an early milestone for the film’s international rollout, its eventual opening will depend on factors including show allocation, screen availability and ticket sales closer to release.

The development coincides with the unveiling of the film’s second trailer, which marks a fresh phase in its international promotional campaign. The latest footage places the conflict between Rama and Ravana at the centre of the narrative, offering a closer look at the scale of the production and its action sequences.

The trailer features Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana, alongside Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. One of its notable moments features Ravana confronting Indra, played by Kunal Kapoor, while the narration positions Rama as humanity’s hope against the growing threat.

The international campaign presents the film as “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend”, while the Indian release is being promoted as “Ramayana”. The global rollout is being handled by Sony Pictures International, with the film targeting audiences beyond India alongside its domestic market.

Directed by Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, “Ramayana” is planned as a two part cinematic adaptation. The project brings together Prime Focus Studios, DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, with music by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

The first instalment is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on November 5, 2026, ahead of the second part, which is planned for Diwali 2027. With US advance bookings now underway, the coming weeks will offer a clearer picture of the film’s overseas theatrical prospects.
