‘Ramayana’ Makers Announce Dil Raju’s SVC And AVA as South India Distributors

Namit Malhotra’s "Ramayana" has announced its distribution partners for three key South Indian territories, with Dil Raju’s SVC Release handling Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and AVA taking charge of the film’s release in Kerala. The makers announced the partnerships through territory-specific posters shared on the film’s official social media account on October 19.

The announcement marks another step in the theatrical rollout of Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part adaptation of the Indian epic, which is gearing up for a worldwide release.

SVC Release will oversee the film’s distribution across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, two significant markets for large-scale Indian productions, while AVA will handle its Kerala release.

The distribution announcements also bring local industry players into the release strategy for a film being mounted for audiences across India and overseas. With the story drawing from one of the country’s most widely recognised epics, its release across multiple languages and territories will be central to its theatrical reach.

"Ramayana" stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble also features Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Produced by Namit Malhotra and directed by Tiwari, the film features music by Academy Award winners A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Titled "Ramayana: Rise of a Legend" for its international campaign, the first instalment is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on November 5, 2026, across premium formats. The second instalment is planned for a subsequent release, with the makers positioning the project as a large-scale cinematic adaptation of the epic.
