‘Pink’ Actress Kirti Kulhari to Play Lead Antagonist in Rakesh Sain’s ‘Chakor Ban’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Kirti Kulhari, known for her portrayals in projects like “Pink,” “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” “Mission Mangal” and “Four More Shots,” among others, started shooting for Rakesh Sain’s directorial debut, “Chakor Ban” last year.
While the movie’s unusual title has intrigued fans, now we have it that the actress will be seen in a new avatar in this movie.
Variety India has exclusively learned that Kirti will play a layered negative role in “Chakor Ban.”

For over two decades, Rakesh Sain has been working with Sriram Raghavan as assistant and associate director and has collaborated in films like “Ek Hasina Thi,” “Agent Vinod,” “Badlapur,” “Andhadhun” and “Merry Christmas.”
Rakesh was one of the directors of the 2020 Indian Hindi-language anthology film titled “Zindagi inShort.” He helmed the segment called “Nano So Phobia,” which explored the topic of ‘Confusion of old age’ and featured Swaroop Sampat, Nidhi Singh and Arun Kushwah. It was shot by Pratham Mehta and the editing was handled by Dnayananda Samarth.
As for Kirti Kulhari, the actress has wrapped the shooting for her debut feature film, “Kinare,” which she has produced under her production company, Kintsukuroi Films. It is written and directed by Akbar Azam Quadri and shot by cinematographer Arjun Sundarram. “Kinare” features Rajeev Siddhartha, Ravi Taneja and Alka Amin.
The film is currently in the post-production stage and is expected to hit the screens this year.
