Namrata Joshipura Brings Metallic Magic and Modern Glamour to Lakmé Fashion Week
The ticker on the runway read, ‘Progress takes thoughtful form. At Namrata Joshipura’s Lakmé Fashion Week showcase in New Delhi, those words took shape in ‘OBSIDIAN’—a high-voltage play of sculptural silhouettes, liquid metallics and unapologetic glamour, where every detail was designed to dazzle.

Sequins and intricate embellishments on sculpted silhouettes took center stage as the runway came alive with high-shine surfaces, liquid metallic textures, gilded embroidery and commanding blacks. The collection created a visual narrative that balanced drama with sophistication. Strength and elegance were present in equal measure, with models strutting down the runway in Joshipura’s signature elongated jumpsuits and sculpted eveningwear that combined architectural precision with fluid movement.
The energy translated onto the ramp, with popular content creator Sakshi Sindwani drawing the loudest cheers as she showcased the designer’s creations. Speaking about the collection, Joshipura shared, “OBSIDIAN was an exploration of dark brilliance, where the depth of black met the luminosity of metallics to create a sense of strength, movement and modern glamour. I wanted the collection to feel bold yet refined, with sculptural silhouettes, intricate embellishments and textures that came alive under light.”
