‘Jailer 2’: ‘Bigg Boss 18”s Edin Rose Lands Part in Rajinikanth Sequel (EXCLUSIVE)
Edin Rose, best known for her appearance in "Bigg Boss 18" (Hindi), will next be seen in "Jailer 2," the sequel to the 2023 action-drama blockbuster. In the film, expected to release later this year, Rajini will reprise his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, S.J Suryah, Dr Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan with Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Yogi Babu expected to join the cast. She is playing a fiesty city-bred girl in the movie. Edin spent almost a month filming for "Jailer 2."
Variety India has learnt that unlike Pradeep Ranganathan's "Love Insurance Kompany," Edin's role in "Jailer 2" will not be a brief one and she is expected to feature in scenes with many prominent actors. In "LIK," she plays Selena, a romantic interest of Suriyan, the character played by S.J Suryah.
In 2023, she was seen in the song “Dikka Dishum” from the movie “Ravanasura” that starred Ravi Teja. She reunited with him for his 2026 release, "Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi" that released in January 2026. Rose was a part of "BB18" where she entered as one of the wildcards. The model and actress is born to Indian parents and is a resident of Dubai. She began her career in 2020 with Ekta Kapoor's web series "Gandi Baat."
The initial release date for "Jailer 2" was June 12, but now it has been pushed to September to coincide with the Krishna Jayanthi holiday weekend. It seems the makers are figuring out the perfect weekend to maximize box-office returns.
