Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable with ‘Spider-Noir,’ ‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2, ‘K-Pops!’ and More : Streaming This Week

On the face of it, there’s room for an elephant’s worth of awkwardness on offer across streaming this week (May 25-31), with protagonists caught in tight spots, making decisions they know they’re going to regret, homecomings that are rife with drama, some mile-high madness, a heist gone wrong and more. Cherry on the cake has to be the much vaunted watch-it-two-ways Nicolas Cage-headlined “Spider-Noir” that’s probably the one you’ll want to add to your binge-list.

NETFLIX
Due Spicci (My Two Cents)

Zerocalcare and Cinghiale’s (Wild Boar) friendship is tested as they buy the neighborhood bar to keep it running and instantly run into a barrage of problems.
WHY WATCH: Italian cartoonist Zerocalcare (Michele Rech) based the main character on himself as he cynically critiques society and modern life.
New series drop on May 27.

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder S2
Emma Meyers returns as Pip, a young detective, who helped crack a cold case, in the first season of this popular series. This season. her friend Connor’s brother Jamie goes missing and she attempts to find him as Max Hastings awaits trial
WHY WATCH: Based on the bestselling books by Holly Jackson.
New season arrives May 27.

The Four Seasons S2
In the wake of Nick’s (Steve Carrell) fatal car crash last season, Kate (Tina Fey), Danny (Colman Domingo) and the rest of the gang have to figure out how to keep vacationing, this time with Nick’s girlfriend and unborn baby in tow.
WHY WATCH: Think “The White Lotus,” but with a recurring cast of some of the best comedic actors around, parading as a friend group perennially on vacation.
New season streaming May 28 onwards.

Murder Mindfully S2
This German-language dark comedy series returns with Björn Diemel (Tom Schilling) trying to balance mindfulness, his day job as a lawyer for the mafia and… the demands of his inner child… literally.
WHY WATCH: Based on the bestselling books by Karsten Dusse.
New season out on May 28.

Calabasas Confidential
20-somethings from Southern California return home for summer to Calabasas after college ends. 
WHY WATCH: The reality series stars celebrity kids, content creators and a bunch of young local socialites. Drama’s coming home!
Series premiere on May 29.

K-Pops!
Stars Anderson .Paak as BJ, an American musician looking at a second shot at fame in South Korea, as he becomes part of a musical talent hunt. One of the contestants is the son he never knew he had.
WHY WATCH: Fame or fatherhood? What does BJ choose? Does he have to?
This movie, originally released in 2025, premieres on streaming May 30.

A fugitive billionaire, mercenaries, a secret agent and a mysterious passenger suffering from memory loss have a ‘mid-air collision’ of sorts while on a flight between Kochi and Dubai.
WHY WATCH: It’s an action comedy. While it had an underwhelming box-office run, could do better on streaming.
Streaming premiere May 25.

This Tamil Hotstar Special sees Shanmuga Sundaram deal with family rituals and a secret that threatens to tear them apart. 
WHY WATCH: If you like family dramas. Stars Bose Venkat.

An alt-history take on what if Russia won the space race and had been the first country to put a man on the moon. Follow the fictionalized lives of the cosmonauts and scientists working for the Soviet space program who worked to make it happen.
WHY WATCH: A spinoff of “For All Mankind”. Stars Rhys Ifans. Features Priya Kansara (last cast as the voice of the spaceship in “Project Hail Mary”).

This Bengali series follows criminals stealing a priceless liquor bottle from a gangleader. Stealing was the easy part. Getting away with it is a whole, different story!

Spider-Noir

A live-action series based on the Marvel comic. About Ben Reilly, a luckless private investigator, who’s coping with personal tragedy while moonlighting as the city’s only superhero.
WHY WATCH: Stars Nicolas Cage. You can choose to stream it in “Authentic Black & White” or “True-Hue Full Color”.
New series premiere May 27.

LIONSGATE PLAY
The Race

A mechanic named Andrei goes up against ten of Europe's most skilled drivers in an illegal “ultimate street race” with no rules and everything to lose, in this Romanian production.
