By Sakshi Navare,
The 2018 film “Crazy Rich Asians” is returning as a series. Set to continue as an HBO Original show, with four of the actors from the movie reprising their roles. Constance Wu, Henry Golding and Ronny Chieng have been revealed as series regulars in the project, with Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh taking on a recurring role.
Adele Lim, who co-wrote the film eight years ago, is making a comeback as the captain of the series, donning showrunner and executive producer hats alongside director Jon M. Chu. “It’s a ‘Crazy Rich’ family reunion! This series is the sequel we’ve been waiting for, but instead of just one movie, we get eight episodes to delve into the characters and worlds of Kevin Kwan’s brilliant books,” shares Lim about the show.
