Censor Certification Delays Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jeevan Bheema Yojana;’ To Now Release On September 4 (EXCLUSIVE)
Marketed as Arshad Warsi’s first double role in his 30-year acting career, “Jeevan Bheema Yojana” has vacated its August 28 release date and will now have a worldwide release on September 4 instead, Variety India has exclusively learned.
The film was scheduled to be out two days after Yash's "Toxic - A Fairytale For Grown Ups," directed by Geetu Mohandas. But it was not ready in time for August 28, resulting in a delay in certification. With the certification and other release formalities on track. A new poster announcing the revised release date has also been unveiled.
Directed by Abhishek Dogra, “Jeevan Bheema Yojana” stars Warsi in the contrasting roles of Jeevan and Bheema. The cast also includes Sanjeeda Shaikh, Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, Bijendra Kala and the late Atul Parchure.

Warsi plays Jeevan, a debt-ridden common man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Bheema, his dangerous lookalike. What initially appears to be an opportunity soon sets off a chain of events involving deception, greed and increasingly risky choices.
Sanjeeda Shaikh plays Yojana, Jeevan’s wife, while Vijay Raaz plays the mysterious Vinayak. Dogra described the film as a story about ordinary people making an extraordinary, potentially catastrophic decision and then dealing with its consequences, while positioning it as a dark comedy with a human story at its centre.
