Cardi B Embraces Sculptural Couture at Rahul Mishra’s ‘DEVI’ Presentation at Paris Haute Couture Week 2026
Designer Rahul Mishra debuts his collection 'DEVI' at Paris Haute Couture Week 2026. According to the designer, the theme of the collection "was born of loss and the slow process of healing." Models walked the runway in sculptural ensembles of grey, black, beige, and gold, showcasing his signature dense embroidery, intricate appliqué, and jewellery crafted to resemble carved ornamentation rather than textiles. Temple crown-inspired headpieces and skin-toned bodysuits further blurred the boundary between the body, the garment, and the illusion of living statues.

Explaining his work, Mishra further added, "The collection is almost like time travel. We have created something which takes all the symbolisms of an ancient sculpture, which probably is more than 2,000 years old, found in the Southern part of India, and how all the motifs come out from there. All the jewelry, which is built like a stone-like surface, is created out of that. As if we are reliving couture with the same ideas that created these sculptures, and what created a muse for these sculptures."
DEVI has been further explained as "reflection of the eternal muse as an idea that has traveled across centuries, continually returning to the artiste's imagination. The women who wear Rahul Mishra couture complete that journey, transforming ideas and memories into living presence."
Cardi B and Isha Ambani were in attendance at the show, seated in the front row. The rapper appeared in a white corseted gown, richly adorned with embellishments and dramatic sculpted shoulders. She accessorised the outfit with a bejewelled maang tikka and statement shoulder-grazing earrings. Drawing inspiration from the intricate forms of temple sculptures, the design incorporated ornate waist detailing and flowing drapery that created the illusion of the garment seamlessly extending from the body.

Isha Ambani, meanwhile, opted for a tailored grey ensemble comprising a structured corset and coordinating skirt, both covered in intricate embroidery and delicate beadwork. She completed the look with a draped dupatta that lent the outfit a traditional Indian sensibility, while a pair of diamond earrings and an eye-catching necklace featuring a striking central solitaire elevated the ensemble even further.
