BTS’ ARIRANG Surpasses 3.8 Billion Global Streams in Just 8 Weeks of Release
BTS is soaring and how! The K-pop titans are showing their musical prowess. According to data from Luminate, the septet has managed to earn 3.8 billion streams with their new album, ARIRANG. Released earlier this year, the LP has successfully become one of their best-performing albums to date.

The 14-track album has managed to surpass the record with streams from Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, doing so in eight weeks during the time span of March 20 to May 14, 2026. Impressively, the group’s entire music catalog has managed to bring in 5.3 billion streams during the same period.
Among the regions consuming the most music, Latin America leads the lineup with a 27% share, followed by Northeast Asia at 17%, North America at 14%, Southeast Asia at 13% and Europe at 12%. That’s hardly covering all the areas of BTS’ impact as the group continues to spread far and wide with their music.
The lead track off ARIRANG, SWIM, brought over 500 million cumulative streams on the platform (as of May 26) and earned itself the crown of the first song of 2026 to do so. The tracklist is a hit on streaming services, with each of the 14 tracks crossing over 100 million streams. Among these, “Body to Body” and “Hooligan” each exceed 200 million streams, showcasing their stronghold on the fandom.

BTS’ ARIRANG showcased a strong physical sales record, achieving over 800K units sold in the same timeline, outdoing the No. 2 and No. 3 on the list fourfold. The team continues to be well-liked, with related numbers showing a positive likability percentage of 44, having outshined themselves by 10% in the last five years. There is a reported increase in non-K-pop, Hip-Hop inclined crowd pull, displaying their non-conventional listener base.
