Director duo Abbas-Mustan have delivered some of Hindi film industry’s most memorable thrillers in the nineties and early 2000s. “3 Monkeys,” their next movie, is set to release in the first week of December. The makers are eyeing December 4 as the release date. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, they have unveiled the poster where we can see Arjun Rampal holding a gun. With him are three masked men who look like robbers. It is a heist film packed with action and drama.

The film stars Arjun Rampal, Mustafa Burmawala, Vishal Jethwa, Priya Prakash Varrier, Anil Bishnoi and the late Tunisha Sharma. Arjun Rampal’s role is loosely inspired by the character of Sergio Marquina (Professor) in  “Money Heist.” The music score of the film is given by Tanishk Bagchi.

The film is the last project of actress Tunisha Sharma who passed away in December 2022. Audiences will remember her from TV serials like “Chakravartin Ashok Samrat,” “Internet Love Wala,” “Ishq Subhan Allah” to name a few.

Back in 2012,  Abbas-Mustan helmed “Players” the official remake of “The Italian Job” which was a heist film with a high-stakes robbery at its core. The movie starred Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor. In 2013, “Race 2” also had a heist angle with Saif Ali Khan’s character, Ranvir Singh stealing the Shroud Of Turin to rob a billionaire. The last release of the director-duo was “Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2,” a comedy with Kapil Sharma as the lead protagonist.
