What’s Next for ‘Heated Rivalry’ actor Connor Storrie?
The success of “Heated Rivalry” has propelled both its leads, Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, to the kind of stardom that is lightning in a bottle. Both had signed some small roles and guest acting gigs before the breakout success of the Canadian hockey romance series by Jacob Tierney. And now, many of these parts are being rejigged to cash in on their unprecedented popularity, while the actors go on to sign more interesting projects.
For Connor Storrie, who plays Russia’s Ilya Rozanov on “Heated Rivalry,” the calendar is booked and busy. He is reportedly circling A24’s “Please,” starring Gracie Abrams and Tom Burke, and directed by “Babygirl” filmmaker Halina Reijn. From an extended guest starring role on Criminal Minds: Evolution and a film directed by Molly Gordon to “Heated Rivalry” season 2, here’s everything the actor will be up to next.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 19
Initially, Storrie was only set to appear in Episode 4 of “Criminal Minds: Evolution” season 19, for which he shot well before “Heated Rivalry” was out. However, showrunner Erica Messer has confirmed that they were quite impressed with his performance and decided to extend his storyline for three more episodes, bringing the total to four. The season begins airing on May 28, 2026.
Peaked
“The Bear” and “Sheep Detectives” actor Molly Gordon is directing and co-writing an upcoming comedy film for A24, “Peaked,” about two friends who meet at their 10-year high school reunion and decide to relive their popularity days. Connor Storrie stars in this film, which is currently filming, alongside Gordon, Emma Mackey, Simone Ashley, Dua Lipa, Laura Dern, Amy Sedaris and others.
April X
Michel K. Parandi’s sci-fi thriller, “April X,” has been doing the rounds on festival circuits and winning awards, and is all set to open the 34th Raindance Film Festival in London on June 17, 2026. In the film, Storrie plays Bax, whose twin sister, April (Lilly Krug), disappears, and his search for her through a dystopian, post-Soviet landscape pushes him into madness. The official trailer has gotten Storrie fans excited for the film’s September release.
Turpentine
Trust Connor Storrie to pick indie projects with a stacked cast. Amongst his line-up of films is also “The Penguin” and “Mare of Easttown” director Craig Zobel’s thriller, “Turpentine.” As per recent reports, “Presumed Innocent” actor Bill Camp has joined the cast alongside Storrie and Melissa McCarthy. The film is about a son who hires his friends to rob his parents to pay off a debt to a bookie, and things descend into chaos. “Knives Out” filmmaker Rian Johnson is one of the producers.
Transaction Planet
Post shooting for “Heated Rivalry”, while Storrie was between jobs but with some money, he decided to solo produce “Transaction Planet” based on a concept he had been working on for over a year. It’s about an alien spirit who wakes up in a human body, arrives on Earth, and has his eye stolen, which he must now get back with the help of a friend he makes along the way.
Heated Rivalry Season 2
Peabody Award winner “Heated Rivalry,” which catapulted Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams into fame, already has a season 2 in development, which is expected to premiere in April 2027. Jacob Tierney will adapt Rachel Reid’s “The Long Game”, which is the second book in Shane and Ilya’s story, and has revealed that the season will focus more on the aftermath of getting a happy ending. It’s a more serious take compared to season 1, and will focus on themes like codependency, mental health, and their relationship under pressure.
