Suhail Nayyar of ‘Murder Mubarak’ Fame Joins The Cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana” is one of the biggest movies releasing in 2026. Along with the main star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, it also has many other actors like Ravi Dubey, Lara Dutt, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan to name a few. Variety India has exclusively learnt that actor Suhail Nayyar has now joined the cast. He is playing the role of Sugriva, the righteous brother of Vali. We have seen Suhail in movies and web series like “Single Papa,” “Nikita Roy,” “Hasmukh,” “Udta Punjab” to name a few.

A source confirmed to Variety India saying that he is indeed on board and has begun his shoot for the same. The filming of the movie is in full swing and post-production is also happening at the same time. The team is working round the clock to ensure it hits theatres on time.
In the epic “Ramayan”, Sugriva becomes the ruler of the kingdom of Kishkindha after Lord Rama slays Vali. He was one of the main soldiers in the army of Rama as he set off to free Sita from the clutches of Ravana. He is also mentioned as a son of Surya Dev (the Sun God).
“Ramayana,” directed by Nitesh Tiwari is one of the most expensive Hindi movies to be ever made. It is being made in two parts, the first of which will be released in Diwali 2026.
