Simu Liu Of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ And ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Fame Marries Allison Hsu

After Jim Carrey and Min Ah, actor Simu Liu has married his long-time girlfriend, Allison Hsu. She is an actress and the two had been dating since 2022. The two got engaged in May 2025 in France announcing the news on social media. People Magazine has reported that they got married over the weekend in France. The low-key ceremony took place on October 5. Hsu has been a part of movies like “My Mother’s Skin” (2023), “Some Nights I Feel Like Walking” (2024) and “The Secret Of Us” (2024). The couple made it official that they had been seeing each other by making an appearance together at the premiere of “Violent Night.”

Liu has always been very vocal about his desire to get married and have a family of his own. He had said during the promotions of “In Your Dreams” that he was enjoying the process of preparing for his wedding. He said he wants to be a good dad who helps his children fulfill their dreams in life. The actor who is of Chinese descent spent his early years in Harbin, China and later moved to Canada. 

In 2021, he became popular globally after his movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend Of the Ten Rings” where he played the titular superhero. He was also seen in the 2023 blockbuster “Barbie” directed by Greta Gerwig and “Arthur the King” (2024). He will be seen as Shang-Chi in “Avengers: Doomsday” that releases in cinemas on December 18.
