Salman Khan’s ‘Koffee With Karan Season 9’ Episode to Feature Surprise Appearance by Karisma Kapoor (EXCLUSIVE)
Salman Khan will not be the only familiar face on the couch when “Koffee With Karan” returns for its ninth and final season. Variety India has learned that Karisma Kapoor will make a surprise appearance in the season premiere, adding an unexpected element to an episode otherwise designed around Salman as the sole guest.
The extent of Kapoor’s appearance remains unclear, and it is not known how long she will feature in the episode. Her presence, however, introduces another layer to the premiere, which is centered on Khan and his conversation with host Karan Johar.

The pairing carries a long history in Hindi cinema. They first shared screen space in “Jaagruti” and “Nishchaiy,” which were released in 1992. They later worked together in several popular films, including “Andaz Apna Apna,” “Judwaa,” “Biwi No. 1” and “Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge.” Their on-screen chemistry made them one of the familiar pairings of mainstream Hindi cinema through the 1990s and early 2000s.
The first episode of this season of “Koffee With Karan” features a solo appearance by Salman Khan, rather than the usual joint celebrity interview format. The season premiere is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar on October 14, with new episodes arriving on Wednesdays. The show returns with Khan at the center of its opening episode, and Kapoor’s appearance adds an unexpected twist.
