Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ Officially Postponed, Will Now Release in June

Telugu 'Mega Power Star' Ram Charan's "Peddi" has been in the making for a while now, with the initial release date set for April 30, 2026. While rumors have abounded about a date change forsome time, the makers' consistent silence as the release date loomed near left fans confused. The "Peddi" team has now officially announced the film's postponement to June 2026.
This writer spoke to a member of the film's team, who confirmed the update, adding, “The release date is yet to be locked. June 4 is under consideration, but everything depends on when the shoot wraps. After reviewing the film’s edit, the team decided to allot extra time for post-production to ensure a better experience.”

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment, "Peddi" is a period drama that also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Divyenndu Sharma in key roles. Versatile actor Jagapathi Babu plays one of the main antagonists in the film, which features music by A. R. Rahman. So far, two songs from the film - "Chikiri Chikiri" and "Rai Rai Raa Raa" have been released and have become chartbusters. The film has been riding high on sustained hype so far, and with "Peddi" now postponed, Ram Charan’s fans are hugely disappointed.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Nikhil Siddhartha’s "Swayambhu" might take over the original release date. Post the debacle of Shankar's "Game Changer," fans want Ram Charan to make a solid comeback and have pinned all hopes on Peddi. It looks like they will need to wait some more time to see him on the big screen.
