Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ Release Date Out, To Hit Theaters on October 15
Rajinikanth is set to return as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian with “Jailer 2,” which has locked its theatrical release for October 15. Sun Pictures made the announcement on social media, confirming that the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed action entertainer will arrive during the festive weekend.
“Jailer 2” is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster “Jailer,” which emerged as one of the biggest Tamil hits of the year. The film’s mix of action, humour, mass moments and star cameos was a major part of the original’s appeal. The upcoming film brings back Rajinikanth as the iconic character, with Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and several other members of the original cast reprising their roles.

The sequel, however, also expands its ensemble with several new faces. Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, SJ Suryah and Vidya Balan have joined the cast, adding to the anticipation around the film. The makers are expected to reveal more details about their respective characters as the release draws closer.
