Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ Set for Dussehra 2026 Release
By Sakshi Navare,
Sun Pictures has officially set October 15, 2026, as the worldwide theatrical release date for Rajinikanth's “Jailer 2.” The announcement ends months of speculation over the film's release window and positions the sequel as a major Dussehra release.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, “Jailer 2” reunites the filmmaker with Rajinikanth following the success of 2023's “Jailer.” Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, with Sun Pictures once again producing the film and Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
The sequel has been one of the most closely watched Tamil productions since it was officially announced earlier this year. Production has since wrapped, with the film now in post production ahead of its October release.
