‘Paripadi’ Title Reveal: Joju George Packs Intrigue and Action Into a Gripping Teaser
If your pet peeve about movie teasers and trailers is that they often give away the entire plot, then you need to watch the title reveal of “Paripadi,” Joju George’s “Pani” sequel, right away. From the first scene to the end, it tells us a lot without actually saying anything.
From what we gather, “Paripadi” is not your typical sequel, and it could feature a fresh cast. We do not see the faces of any of the actors, but a series of graphic images gives us a clue to the storyline. The makers have used red, yellow and black in the graphics, classic colors used for thriller films in India and abroad. It is complemented by pulsating music that keeps you enthralled.

What’s hot
The title builds up curiosity from the get-go as we see a jeep careening into the countryside. The visuals of the setting sun, a river and a big house in the middle of nowhere create a wonderful sense of intrigue. We can sense some action around the sound effects and visuals. The visual of a house with people looking out the windows seems like a unique character introduction. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music also amps up the impact of the title reveal. It has the same cinematographer as “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups,” Rajeev Ravi, who has earlier worked in films like “Dev D”, “Mukkabaaz” and “Kammatipaadam,” among others. Anbariv is the action director of the movie.
What’s not
There is little to crib about in this title reveal. Except perhaps to wish this video were longer.
Overall
Joju George, an actor and filmmaker, teases us with a sequel that packs a strong story and a lot of emotion. This creative introduction tells us a lot while keeping us curious about the movie's upcoming assets.
