‘Undekhi: The Final Battle’ Sets May 1 Premiere on SonyLIV, Gautam Rode Joins Cast (EXCLUSIVE)

SonyLIV has set a May 1 premiere date for the fourth season of “Undekhi,” titled “Undekhi: The Final Battle,” while also unveiling the trailer for the upcoming chapter. The series will follow a weekly rollout, with new episodes dropping every Friday, continuing the platform’s staggered-release strategy for returning titles.

Set in Manali, the new season continues to track the shifting dynamics within the Atwal family alongside the ongoing investigation surrounding them. The trailer points to an escalation in conflict, with internal power struggles intensifying as the narrative inches toward its final phase. The tone appears darker, with the stakes raised across both the family drama and the investigative thread.

Harsh Chhaya returns as Papaji, whose character appears to be attempting to reclaim control within the family, while Surya Sharma reprises his role as Rinku Atwal, continuing his trajectory shaped by earlier events. Dibyendu Bhattacharya also returns as DSP Barun Ghosh, with the investigation remaining a central element of the storyline.

The season also introduces Gautam Rode in a key role. Specific details about his character have not been disclosed, but his entry is expected to add another layer to the narrative's dynamics.

Sharing his excitement with Variety India about joining the show, Gautam Rode said, “It is incredibly exciting to join a franchise as successful and loved as Undekhi on Sony LIV. I’ve followed its journey over the last three seasons, and the way it has redefined the thriller genre in India is truly commendable. While I await the audience’s reaction to my character, I promise his entry is going to be a pivotal moment in the season. I’m happy to be part of such a stellar cast and can’t wait for the audience to see how the pieces of the puzzle come together.”

Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Banijay Asia and directed by Ashish R Shukla, the series also features Varun Badola, Ankur Rathee and Shivjyoti Rajput.

“Undekhi” has built its run-on crime-driven storytelling and interconnected character arcs, and the upcoming season is expected to move the series toward a concluding stretch while resolving key narrative threads.
