Nani Debuts a Sleek New Look for ‘Bloody Romeo,’ Teases Sujeeth’s Next Film

Nani has offered a fresh glimpse of his character in “Bloody Romeo”, his upcoming film with director Sujeeth. In a short promotional video shared on October 10, the actor appears to have traded the rugged look of “The Paradise” for a sharper, more stylised appearance, though the clip stops short of revealing his transformation in full.

The video focuses on Nani getting into character, with his new haircut taking centre stage before the reveal is deliberately cut short. It ends with a neon coloured food truck and the words, “The kitchen opens soon”, keeping the film’s culinary connection in focus without giving away further details about the character or the story.

“Bloody Romeo” was announced in February, on Nani’s birthday, with an animated promotional video introducing him as a character who combines the identities of a chef and a gangster. The film’s initial reveal leaned into the contrast, depicting him preparing food with unhurried precision before turning the setting into a gangster den. Its tagline, “He’s No. 1 Chef”, was crossed out and replaced with “He’s No. 1 Gangster”.

The new glimpse shifts attention from the animated introduction to Nani’s live action look, while retaining the food motif that has been central to the film’s promotional material so far.

“Bloody Romeo” marks the first collaboration between Nani and Sujeeth, whose credits include “Saaho” and “They Call Him OG”. Nani has described the film as a contrast to “The Paradise”, saying that while it features violence, it will not approach it in the same raw, extreme manner. He has also indicated that Sujeeth has given the action a witty, theatrical treatment.

“It’s a very theatrical, stylish experience. Sujeeth came up with a twist to that which makes it extremely witty combined with action,” Nani said in a recent interview. “After Paradise, it’s going to be a refreshing watch.”

The film follows a run of action driven projects for Nani, including “HIT: The Third Case” and “The Paradise”. “Bloody Romeo” is expected to take him into a different tonal space, blending stylised action with humour. Further details about its supporting cast and release plans are awaited.
