Following the eternal bachelor Salman Khan on the Koffee couch (with a cameo by Karisma Kapoor) is a tough act to follow. And so, for the second episode of "Koffee with Karan" Season 9, it’s time to bring on the newlyweds. The new Episode 2 promo teases a glimpse of the “blockbuster couple” Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda chatting with host Karan Johar about marriage, movies and lots more. The couple, who got married in Udaipur in February earlier this year, star in the Telugu period action drama, “Ranabaali,” which is currently in theaters.

The promo opens with Johar asking permission to get a little cheesy as he prods Mandanna and Deverakonda for details about their courtship, including who proposed first. Turns out, Mandanna had been popping the question for a year before Deverakonda finally agreed to meet her at the altar.

Some more snippets of the episode revealed include some Rapid Fire questions, in which the “Animal” actress picks between her co-stars Allu Arjun and Ranbir Kapoor, and posits that Deverakonda’s best on-screen chemistry is with her and nobody else. To this, the wise husband concedes, “Rule 101 of marriage: Agree with the wife!” What promises to be the most fun segment is when the couple plays one of the Koffee games involving naming the South Indian star based on the moniker the fans have given them, and it looks like Mandanna might be winning.

As confirmed by Karan Johar himself in the first episode to his guest, Salman Khan, "Koffee With Karan" Season 9 is the final outing for the celebrity talk show and marks the end of an era where celebrity couples have often made their first appearances post-marriage on the show. And this episode, which will stream on JioHotstar on Thursday, October 22, 2026, is bound to be a treat for the fans who’ve so far only got a glimpse of the pair in advertisements and film promotions.

After “Geetha Govindam” (2018) and “Dear Comrade” (2019) arrived back-to-back and fans loved their chemistry, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have reunited on screen after five years for “Ranabaali”. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film revolves around Deverakonda’s character, who, in 19th-century India, rises against the British Raj. The film has received mixed reviews and is being dominated at the box office by the Rajinikanth starrer “Jailer 2”.
