‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’: Amitabh Bachchan To Start Shoot For New Season In Two Weeks (EXCLUSIVE)

Amitabh Bachchan is all set for a busy second half as the actor gears up to return to the sets of “Kaun Banega Crorepati 18.” Variety India learned that the veteran actor will start shooting for the iconic quiz show in a couple of weeks. The channel and production house are wrapping up the pre-production as they gear up to roll. The actor will also be juggling the shoot of Nag Ashwin’s “Kalki 2,” which started in July. The first schedule of the film took place in Hyderabad in July 2026. Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan are back for the sequel, which focuses on the fight with Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan). Bachchan plays the immortal warrior Ashwatthama in the epic sci-fi film.

The shoot for “Kaun Banega Crorepati 18” will take place at Film City in Goregaon. This year, registrations for the game show were extended after a leading AI firm partnered with the show. Contestants have received assistance from the AI tool in applying for the show. The winner of “KBC 17” was Aditya Kumar, a CISF personnel from Uttarakhand. He took home the prize money of ₹1 crore. 

“Kaun Banega Crorepati 18” is among the major reality shows in the annual TV and streaming calendar, alongside “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi” and “Bigg Boss.” The actor reassured fans in March 2026 that he was doing well, health-wise, and was back to his normal routine. Bachchan's last movie in theatres was “Vettaiyan,” which released in October 2024. It also starred Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil.
