Huma Qureshi To Don An Oscar de la Renta Gown On The Cannes 2026 Red Carpet
By Sakshi Navare,
Huma Qureshi is making an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. The actor made her Cannes debut in 2010 at the premiere of her film “Gangs of Wasseypur”. She was also seen on the red carpet in 2018 and 2019.
The actress is representing a brand, and not a film, at Cannes 2026. Over the years, Huma has built a career balancing mainstream cinema with performance-driven projects. She has taken on challenging roles across films, web series and international projects. From “Gangs of Wasseypur” and “Monica, O My Darling,” to “Tarla” and “Leila,” Huma has been a part of films that have broken away from the norm. Her performances in OTT projects like “Maharani” and her turn as Badi didi in “Delhi Crime Season 3” were widely praised. On the international front, she was seen in filmmaker Zack Snyder’s zombie heist film “Army of the Dead.” Praising her in a social media shared in March, the filmmaker said, “@iamhumaq — one of the most amazing actors I’ve had the pleasure of working with on Army of the Dead. Talent, presence, and pure brilliance on screen.”
Last year, Huma attended the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) for her film “Bayaan.” The movie was the only Indian film selected in the Discovery section at TIFF 2025.
At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, Huma Qureshi wore a dramatic black Victorian-inspired corset gown by Mae Paris, complete with exaggerated ruffled sleeves, paired with diamond-and-ruby earrings from David Morris.
For her daytime appearance, she chose a minimal white gown by Angus Kirkby. She attended the Chopard party in a bold red blazer teamed with a matching tulle and Chantilly lace skirt designed by Nauman Piyarji, which blended structured tailoring with feminine details.
