Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan Turn Showstoppers for Manish Malhotra at Lakme Fashion Week

“This show should have been held at a stadium!” The remark summed up the frenzy surrounding Manish Malhotra’s show at the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week. A packed audience turned up on Saturday to catch a glimpse of the designer’s latest creations, with Delhi’s fashion crowd dressing to impress for the occasion. And Malhotra gave them plenty to look forward to, unveiling a collection that blended contemporary glamour with his signature craftsmanship.

Known for his contemporary luxury and couture creations, Malhotra turned his attention to Luxury Prêt 2026, unveiling a collection just in time for the festive season. More than 100 models walked the ramp to a soundtrack that blended techno beats with film music, showcasing creations that felt modern while retaining the designer’s signature glamour and craftsmanship. Cropped jackets, fluid skirts, relaxed tailoring, sweeping layers and distinctive drapes defined the collection. Silhouettes in liquid gold and burnished silver lent the looks a statement-making edge while keeping them versatile and wearable.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, who will be seen together in the upcoming film “Udta Teer,” were the showstoppers of the evening. Khurrana looked effortlessly cool in black trousers, a matching shirt and an embellished blazer, while Khan turned up the glamour in a floral black corset, a black skirt and a dupatta.

Another highlight was the debut of pieces from Manish Malhotra Fine Jewellery and Accessories. Models carried refined, sculptural bags in a variety of shapes and sizes, while diamonds and rare gemstones added to the glam quotient.

Malhotra said, “Luxury Prêt 2026 is about exploring a new expression of glamour, one that feels effortless, contemporary and deeply personal. I wanted to create a collection that carries the richness of our craftsmanship but also reflects the way people dress and celebrate today. From fluid silhouettes and statement metallics to the introduction of Menswear Luxe Prêt, this collection represents an exciting evolution of the house.” With Luxury Prêt 2026, the designer expands his repertoire with a wardrobe that brings together contemporary style, craftsmanship and glamour for modern celebrations.
