‘Antony’: Sunny Deol Wraps Up Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and AR Murugadoss’s Action-Thriller (EXCLUSIVE)
Sunny Deol, who has been juggling multiple projects, is set to wrap shooting for his highly anticipated action-thriller “Antony.” Variety India has exclusively learned that the shoot is nearing completion, with the makers scheduled to wrap the project today with a montage song choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.
The high-octane action-thriller, which went on floors in March, is directed by debutant Balaji Ganesh, who previously assisted filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The film is backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment in collaboration with AR Murugadoss.
Co-starring Jyotika in a prominent role, “Antony” features Sunny Deol as a cop determined to take down a crime syndicate in Goa, with Vijay Varma playing the lead antagonist.

With post-production set to begin soon, the film is slated to hit theatres in 2027.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will play Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend,” which is scheduled to release during the Diwali weekend.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, “KGF” star Yash as Ravana and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The pan-India ensemble cast also includes Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Arun Govil as King Dashrath, Indira Krishnan as Queen Kaushalya, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Adinath Kothare as Bharat and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra.
Apart from the two parts of “Ramayana” and “Antony,” Sunny Deol also has “Gabru,” which presents the actor in a powerful and emotionally resonant role that celebrates strength, spirit and rooted storytelling. Directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani, the film features Deol as a middle-aged family man who, shaped by unforeseen circumstances, rediscovers life and learns to embrace it fully.
