Aneet Padda-starrer ‘Shakti Shalini’ Lands Its Villain: Viineet Kumar Singh (EXCLUSIVE)
After impressing in Vicky Kaushal’s “Chhaava” and Sunny Deol-starrer “Jaat,” Viineet Kumar Singh has found another big-ticket venture with “Shakti Shalini.” The actor plays the antagonist in the horror-comedy, headlined by Aneet Padda of “Saiyaara” fame and Vishal Jethwa, known for “Homebound” and “Mardaani 2."
Viineet has already started shooting. With his inclusion as a villain, it will be interesting to see how his character's arc enhances the narrative.
“Shakti Shalini” is the sixth part of the “Maddock Horror Universe” after “Stree,” “Bhediya,” “Munjya,” “Stree 2” and “Thamma.” It is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously helmed “Munjya” and “Thamma.”
The film reunites Vishal and Aneet after “Salaam Venky,” where their chemistry was one of the movie's highlights.

The film's plot has been kept under wraps, but the teaser, released during the climax of Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna’s “Thamma,” hints that Aneet’s character, Shakti Shalini, will be a force to reckon with.
Although the makers announced a Dec. 24 release date, they might consider a new window since the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer “King” arrives on the same date.
Viineet Kumar Singh was recently seen in Netflix’s “Hello Bachhon.” The biographical drama web show featured the actor playing Alakh Pandey, the man behind the educational technology company, Physics Wallah Limited. Directed by Pratish Mehta, it was created by The Viral Fever (TVF). The series also features Vikram Kochhar and Girija Oak in pivotal roles.
