Headlined by Bobby Deol as the self-proclaimed godman Baba Nirala, “Ek Badnaam... Aashram”, which premiered in 2020, became one of the most talked-about shows. It earned praise for its gripping storyline, layered characters, and powerful performances.

After three successful seasons, the fourth season has officially kicked off. Oberoi, who has played a range of characters across films and OTT shows, is thrilled to join the highly acclaimed show. He says, “Joining a show like ‘Aashram’ is genuinely exciting because it has created such a strong and distinctive world over the years. Prakash Jha sir has a very unique way of telling stories, and the characters in this universe are never straightforward.”

Without revealing much about his character, he says, “When I heard about my character, I was immediately intrigued. There is a lot I cannot reveal at this stage because we are keeping the details under wraps, but I can say that it is a role that challenged me and had me very excited to come on board. I’m looking forward to being part of this world and working with Prakash Jha and the incredible team.”

While the makers continue to keep the new characters and storyline under wraps, Oberoi’s addition adds another interesting dimension to the show. Meanwhile, Oberoi is all set for the release of the magnum opus “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups,” which is headlined by Yash. In the film, the actor will be seen in a striking retro look complete with a classic mustache and vintage hairstyle, inspired by the iconic styles of actors on screen in the 70s, like Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, and Shatrughan Sinha.
