‘The Kerala Story 2’ Box-Office: Ulka Gupta and Aditi Bhatia starrer crosses ₹25 Crore Mark

“The Kerala Story 2,” which witnessed an upward trend during its first weekend, has managed to hold well during the weekdays to emerge as an average grosser.
In eight days, the movie collected just over 25 crore and with no prominent release this weekend, it will retain a good amount of screens, thus making it comfortable to now cross the 30 crore benchmark by tomorrow.

The most interesting part of “The Kerala Story 2” is that it has performed much better compared to “Assi” and “Do Deewane Seher Mein,” which have better casts and reputed production banners.
Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures. “The Kerala Story 2” also stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat, Arjan Singh Aujla, Yuktam Kholsa and Alka Amin in supporting roles.
The Hindi release has been in controversy for its subject and themes, and had to deal with legal processes and political debate.
The movie narrates the story of three young women who fall into what the film describes as deceptive marriages and face alleged forced religious conversions. The movie is written by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Amarnath Jha.
The screening of “The Kerala Story 2” started at night on its release day, after the stay on the film was lifted by the Kerala High Court. As the clearance came in the evening, the shows started late, which impacted the movie’s opening day collections.
