‘Tantara’: Gong Yoo, Song Hye-kyo drama set to premiere in December 2026
Netflix unveiled its slate of Korean dramas for 2026, and it looks quite promising. They have shows from every genre, much to the delight of fans who felt that there was a preponderance of romance and youth dramas in 2025.
The one web series that has fans talking is “Tantara”. The term means ‘Show Business’ in Korean. Gong Yoo and Song Hye-kyo team up for the first time in their careers as two people trying to break into the Korean entertainment industry in the period between the ’60s and the ’80s. The glimpse of the series that was unveiled during the slate reveal has raised hopes, given the excellent camaraderie the two share. Now, social media is abuzz with news that "Tantara" might premiere on Netflix from December 11, 2026.
Yesterday, Gong Yoo posted about the show on his Instagram account as he remembered his late father. He had visited his father’s memorial spot, where he kept some flowers. In a note addressed to his father, he wrote that he finished working on a show that was set in the period of his late father’s youth. He said he remembered him thinking how much he would have enjoyed such a drama. Gong Yoo signed off the post emotionally, saying that though his father would think of him as an indifferent son, he missed him every day.
