Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro who is known for his huge canvas in films like “Pinocchio” (2022), “The Shape Of Water” (2017), “Hellboy” (2004) to name a few, insisted that everything on the sets of “Frankenstein” would be made from scratch. Art decorators worked in huge numbers to build the world he envisioned for the film. For “Hamnet,” the USP was the recreation of London’s Globe Theatre in the late 1500s.
The other two films who are also in contention for the Oscars for production design are “Marty Supreme” and “Sinners”. Most experts feel that “Frankenstein” will emerge as the winner due to the stellar production design of Jacob Elordi’s monster film.
