‘Saiyaara’ Fame Shaan R Grover to Headline Comedy Thriller ‘Junglywood’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Shaan R Grover, who featured in Mohit Suri’s “Saiyaara,” has been confirmed as the lead actor in the upcoming Hindi film ‘Junglywood’. Backed by Reliance Entertainment and Moon Side Films, the film explores nepotism and the lesser-known realities of the film industry through a mix of dark humor, action and drama.
Directed by Chand Mohammad, “Junglywood” blends dark humor, psychological thrills, and unexpected twists as it delves into the behind-the-scenes happenings in the film industry. Apart from Grover, the film features Akash R Jagga, Irina Rudakova and Deepak Kalra in pivotal roles. Several fresh faces, including Dia Singh, Anoushka Chauhan, Niya Bapalawat and Twinkle Arora, are also a part of the film.

Elaborating on the idea behind the film, Mohammad says, “It’s necessary to know how to take a joke on and with ‘Junglywood’, we aim to do that. The film is one of a kind, and every second will have the audience on the edge of their seats.”
About casting Grover in the lead, Chand says the actor’s performance in ‘Saiyaara’ played a key role in the decision. “Shaan doesn’t come from a film background, but he left a lasting impression with ‘Saiyaara’ last year. So, we felt he would be the perfect to be the face of our story.”
Grover’s follow-up project after the Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-led film from 2025 is set to be “Tum Mere Ho,” making “Junglywood” his second film in the pipeline. Sharing his excitement about the project, he notes, “Every actor dreams of headlining their own film, and with “Junglywood,” I am getting that chance. What adds to the appeal is the team behind it. I want to tell the audience to buckle up for a mysterious adventure set to hit their screens soon.”

The makers of “Junglywood” are aiming to release the film’s trailer by Halloween. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
