S. S. Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’ to Make Global Showcase at CCXP Mexico 2026

S. S. Rajamouli’s “Varanasi” is set to make its first global appearance at CCXP Mexico 2026, marking a key step in the film’s international rollout. The project, led by Mahesh Babu, will be showcased through a dedicated panel on April 24 at the Thunder Stage by Cinemex.

The panel will be presented by producer S. S. Karthikeya and is expected to offer an early look into the film’s world. According to the makers, the session will include a “Varanasi to the World” glimpse, along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage created specifically for the event. A pre-recorded video message from Rajamouli will also be part of the presentation, followed by a live audience interaction.

“Varanasi” stars Mahesh Babu alongside Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is positioned as a large-scale production and is currently one of the most anticipated titles on the upcoming slate.

CCXP Mexico, scheduled from April 24 to 26, is one of Latin America’s largest pop culture events, bringing film, television, comics, gaming and anime onto one platform. This year’s lineup also includes appearances and showcases tied to titles such as “House of the Dragon,” “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” “Supergirl” and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.”

The event marks an early international push for “Varanasi,” which is currently slated for a theatrical release in April 2027.
