Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s “Ranabaali” is going to release on October 16. The movie will be released in five languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The period drama is about the resistance of a fierce warrior, who fights the oppressive British colonial rule during 1876-78. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the role of Jayamma. Arnold Vosloo is playing the part of Lord Theodore Hector.

Mythri Movie Makers has issued a statement on social media debunking reports that they have asked for a hike of Rs 50 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They clarified that ticket prices are in accordance with what is specified by the government.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has strict caps on the prices of ticket prices in the interior of the state. The price is determined by the location and theater type. Standard rate of tickets in premium locations are around Rs 250. Those in interiors of the state are around Rs 40 to 60 depending on the town or theater. There is a Film Ticket Price Rationalization Committee to keep tickets affordable for the common man without compromising on the needs of producers.

“Ranabaali” is the first movie of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna after their February wedding. The two have worked before in films like “Geetha Govindam” (2018) and “Dear Comrade” (2019). “Ranabaali” is directed by Rahul Sankrityan who has made films like “Taxiwaala” and “Shyam Singha Roy” in the past.
