‘Ramayana’: Advance Booking For Ranbir Kapoor, Yash And Sai Pallavi’s Film To Open On October 20

The Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer “Ramayana: Part 1” is currently one of the most awaited films of the year. While the makers have gone all out to make it a big tentpole project, the producers have made a major announcement on social media that advance bookings are opening tomorrow.

Dharma Productions, which is distributing the original version of “Ramayana,” shared the news by posting a couple of glimpses from the movie with a caption, “Advance bookings open tomorrow!”  With bookings opening tomorrow, it would be interesting to see how big response the film gets at the ticket windows.

Talking about its distribution in the southern territories, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be handled by Dil Raju’s SVC (Sri Venkateswara Creations), while AVA will take charge of the film’s release in Kerala.

Interestingly, the film will face competition from Suriya’s “Scene” and Nayanthara’s “Mookuthi Amman 2” in Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, it will battle against the Japanese film “Godzilla Minus Zero” internationally.

“Ramayana” features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble also features Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Backed by Namit Malhotra, the film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, known for “Dangal” and “Chhichhore.”

The film is titled "Ramayana: Rise of a Legend" for its international campaign, with the first instalment scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on November 5, 2026, across premium formats. The film brings together two musical legends with A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. It also has Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta in key roles.
