Rakhee Gulzar on Aamir Khan’s Third Marriage: ‘What’s Wrong With Marrying at 60?’

Aamir Khan and his partner, Gauri Spratt, are set to marry on July 5, 2026. The reclusive Rakhee Gulzar expressed her happiness upon learning about Khan’s upcoming marriage. The veteran actor says, “I am not in touch with the goings-on in the film industry, nor have I worked with Aamir Khan. But I do know he is a very sincere person. And I love the way he has maintained his friendship with his two wives (Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao) even after the marriage. It says a lot about him.”

Brushing aside negative comments about Aamir Khan remarrying at 60, Rakhee Gulzar argues that companionship and happiness are not defined by age. Defending his decision, she says, “What is wrong with marrying at 60? Robert de Niro has been married twice and is now in a relationship (with partner Tiffany Chen), with whom he shares a daughter born in 2023. They had a child when he was more than 80 years old. Happiness in a marriage is not about age. I got married when  Gulzar was almost 40.”

Vikram Bhatt, who worked with Khan in “Ghulam,” says, “I don’t think there is an age for finding love and settling down. It’s his life, and he has a right to live it the way he wants. On a lighter note, knowing Aamir, he might be working out a social experiment.”

Aamir Khan first introduced Gauri Spratt, who hails from Bengaluru, to the media during his 60th birthday celebrations in March. The actor had expressed that they were deeply committed to each other, and formalizing their relationship seemed like a natural progression of their partnership.
