“Premada Oorali,” the Kannada sleeper hit of 2026, continues to surprise at the box office. The family drama, made on a ₹2 crore budget, opened to ₹9 lakhs and stands at ₹89.52 crore on its 27th day.
The film has emerged as the highest-grossing Kannada-language release of the year, surpassing Yash’s big-budget “Toxic,” which earned ₹63.11 crore in its original Kannada version. At the global box office, “Premada Oorali” has crossed ₹107 crore and continues to draw audiences to theatres.
Despite entering its fourth week, the film has maintained an impressive average occupancy of over 70%, demonstrating its strong hold in Karnataka. In its theatrical journey, the film has held its ground in its home state despite competition from biggies like Nani’s “The Paradise,” Ajay Devgn’s “Drishyam: The Conclusion” and Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2.”
The film has earned nearly 44.8 times its budget in the domestic market. With a return on investment (ROI) of 4,376%, it has emerged as one of the most profitable films of 2026, alongside “Hanuman Ansh”.
With no major competition at the box office this week, “Premada Oorali” is expected to enjoy a smooth run and could potentially touch the ₹100 crore benchmark. The film, which opened with fewer than 50 shows on its first day, currently has over 700 shows.
