By Sakshi Navare

Nora Fatehi’s latest dance number “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke” from the upcoming film "KD: The Devil" has been pulled down from YouTube following backlash over its lyrics and choreography. Soon after its release, the song drew widespread criticism, with many viewers calling parts of it vulgar and inappropriate.

"KD: The Devil", an upcoming Kannada film starring Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty, released the track on March 14. It quickly caught the attention of netizens, particularly the Hindi version, which faced the most criticism.

Following the controversy, advocate Vineet Jindal approached the Central Board of Film Certification and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, seeking urgent action against the song.

The complaint called for a complete ban of the Hindi version across digital platforms, raising concerns about its content and the potential impact on viewers. The makers have since been directed to pull down the track, which is no longer available on YouTube.

It is also being reported that authorities have been asked to take stricter action in such cases, with the possibility of revisiting existing guidelines if necessary. The Ministry is expected to intensify monitoring of content deemed obscene.

The Hindi version of the song is sung by Mangli, with lyrics by Raqueeb Aalam and music composed by Karan Janya. While the Hindi version has been removed, versions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam continue to remain available online.
