Netflix To Stream NASA’s ‘Artemis II’ Lunar Flyby: Here’s When to Watch in India

Streaming giant Netflix and NASA have confirmed that the platform will livestream the highly anticipated lunar flyby from NASA’s “Artemis II” mission, joining several other broadcasters and digital platforms. Notably, Netflix did not carry the live feed of the mission’s Earth departure, which took place on April 1, 2026.

The Space Launch System rocket lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center on April 1, 2026, carrying four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft — NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.

While the launch was broadcast across multiple traditional and digital platforms, Netflix chose not to participate in that leg of the mission. The streamer will now join in for one of the most anticipated phases of the journey: the lunar flyby.

NASA’s “Artemis II” mission marks the first crewed flight of the Artemis program and is designed to send astronauts around the Moon and safely return them to Earth. Serving as a major step toward future lunar landings, the mission will test NASA’s deep-space systems with humans on board and help pave the way for long-term exploration of the Moon and beyond.

The livestream for the “Artemis II” lunar flyby will officially begin on Monday, April 6, at 12:00 PM GMT-5, which means viewers in India can tune in at 10:30 PM IST the same day. For audiences elsewhere, the event begins at 10:00 AM PT, 11:00 AM MT, 12:00 PM CT and 1:00 PM ET in North America, 2:00 PM BRT in South America, 5:00 PM UTC, 6:00 PM BST and 7:00 PM CEST across the UK and Europe, 9:00 PM GST in the Middle East, 2:00 AM JST in Japan, 3:00 AM AEST in Australia and 5:00 AM NZST in New Zealand on Tuesday, April 7.

Netflix had earlier struck a deal with NASA to bring NASA+ programming to the platform. However, the partnership has so far seen limited rollout and visibility. Since then, there has reportedly only been a single live stream on the service, making the “Artemis II” lunar flyby one of the more significant NASA events to arrive on Netflix so far.
