Nagarjuna’s ‘King100’ First Glimpse Reveals Larger-Than-Life Avatar, Sets December 24 Release
Nagarjuna Akkineni’s milestone 100th film has officially been titled “King100,” with the film set to release in theatres on December 24, 2026. The title and release date were revealed alongside the film’s first glimpse on Saturday, coinciding with Nagarjuna’s 67th birthday.
Produced by Annapurna Studios and directed by R.A. Karthik, “King100” had been kept largely under wraps during its production. The first glimpse, running for more than a minute and a half, now offers the first substantial look at Nagarjuna’s character and the world he inhabits.
The film’s central character appears to be driven by the relationship between wealth and identity. In the glimpse, Nagarjuna’s character says, “There are two types of people in this world. Those who have money and those who don’t. When I had no money, they called me a loser. When I had money, they called me a King.”

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film, while Raja Mahadhevan serves as cinematographer. Sathees Kumar N is the production designer and Navin Nooli is the editor.
“King100” also marks Karthik’s first Telugu directorial venture. The filmmaker has previously worked in Tamil cinema, and the project brings his filmmaking approach to Nagarjuna’s landmark 100th film.
The cast includes Tabu in a key role, marking her reunion with Nagarjuna after their previous collaborations, including “Ninne Pelladata” and “Aavida Maa Aavide.” The film also features Sushmita Bhatt and Vijayendra in important roles.

The technical team includes costume designers Poorva, Rajini, Tanya and Bhramma, while action choreography is handled by Venkat, Prithivi, Nabakanth, Real Sathish and Dinesh Kasi. Publicity design is by Tuney John.
The glimpse closes with the “King100” title reveal and the message “Long Live The King,” before confirming the December 24, 2026 theatrical release.
With the first glimpse, the makers have moved the film from a tightly guarded production into its formal promotional campaign, while keeping the story and the full nature of Nagarjuna’s character largely undisclosed.
