“Michael” is inarguably one of the biggest releases of the year. Starring Jaafar Jackson in the titular role as his paternal uncle, the 29-year-old has become the star of a billion-dollar movie. So when Indian producer Deepshikha Deshmukh shared a photo with the man, there were questions.
Talking to Variety India about her meeting with the actor, she reveals that it was a mere coincidence that she met him, adding that her kids became fans of Michael Jackson after watching the biopic.
“I just happened to bump into him, contrary to what everyone's thinking that there's a collaboration or anything. There's nothing like that. It was a fangirl moment for me,” she shares. In the photo, she stands alongside the star on a pavement, smiling at the camera.

If my kids are now singing Michael Jackson songs on repeat, it’s because Jaafar brought the legend to life so brilliantly. Some moments are just too cool not to fangirl over”.
She recalls, “He was extremely kind. He's brought the whole magic of Michael Jackson again, and the new generation is now singing all those old songs again thanks to him. He was extremely kind and sweet and I think that's that was so amazing to see someone as humble as him. I am a big fan.”
