‘Bloody Romeo’: Birthday Boy Nani Teams Up With ‘They Call Him OG’ and ‘Saaho’ Director Sujeeth for a Massy Romantic Actioner

Director Sujeeth, known for helming massy and stylish action-thrillers, is collaborating with ‘Natural Star’ Nani for his next film, titled “Bloody Romeo." On Nani’s 42nd birthday, today, the makers shared a stylish two-minute animated teaser, where Nani is seen at a gangster’s den, chopping onions, crushing garlic pods and adding salt and pepper with his signature flair as the ‘No.1 chef and gangster.’
Sharing the announcement video on social, Nani wrote, “Little bit of action.. Little bit of fun.. Little bit of madness.. And a whole lot of love.”(sic) The last words in the clip read, ‘Shooting starts this supper’, changed to ‘summer,’ hinting that the movie will go on floors in summer.

Bankrolled by Niharika Entertainment and Unanimous Productions, with Venkat Boyanapalli producing it, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.
On the professional front, Nani will be next seen in “The Paradise,” which marks his reunion with director Srikanth Odela after “Dasara.” The film will also feature Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni, among others. It is set to release on August 21 this year in eight languages —Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam.
On the other hand, Sujith delivered a box-office blockbuster last year with the Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi-starrer “They Call Him OG.” The gangster drama also starred Prakash Raj, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Arjun Das in prominent roles. The film emerged as the biggest Indian opener of 2025, grossing over ₹154–155 crore worldwide.
