The Next James Bond? Aaron Taylor-Johnson And Tom Francis Split The Ballot in Variety India’s 007 Polls
The numbers are in. After asking followers on Instagram and YouTube to vote for the next potential James Bond, Variety India’s poll found a runaway winner on Instagram in Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who captured a dominant 46% of the vote. Behind him, Damson Idris finised second place with 21% each beating Jacob Elordi who had 20% while rising talent Tom Francis trailed with 12%.

However, the real surprise lay in the comment section. While Taylor-Johnson officially swept the ballot, a massive wave of fan comments vocalized an overwhelming demand for a name completely missing from the list: Henry Cavill.
On the other hand, YouTube had a completely different story. It was Francis who topped the poll with 39%, followed by Jacob Elordi at 26%, Aaron Taylor-Johnson at 22% and Damson Idris at 13%.
With Amazon MGM Studios and casting director Nina Gold actively hunting for the next leading man to step into Denis Villeneuve's upcoming 007 installment, the official numbers favor Taylor-Johnson, but the internet has made it clear that Cavill remains the people's choice.
