With ‘Toxic,’ ‘Welcome To The Jungle,’ ‘Dragon,’ ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Disclosure Day,’ June Is Expected to Be a Blockbuster Month at The Indian Box Office
The first quarter of 2026 has turned out to be pretty productive for the Indian film industry, with movies like “Dhuranadhar 2,” “Border 2,” “Aadu 3,” “Prakambanam,” “Love Mocktail 3,” “Anaganaga Oka Raju,” “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu,” “Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil,” “Thaai Kizhavi,” “With Love” and “Youth” turning out to be money-spinners at the box office.
While April and May are expected to maintain the momentum, June is when revenue is expected to peak at the box office with its cinematic offerings, which will be a mix of genres, including tentpole massy entertainers, franchise films and romantic comedies, along with Hollywood biggies.
Toxic - June 4
The period gangster drama marks Yash's return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus and is one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. The promotional assets have already generated immense buzz among cinegoers, hinting at a bumper opening at the box office. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the movie, shot in Kannada and English, also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles.

Disclosure Day - June 12
The American sci-fi flick, which is written and directed by the legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg, stars Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo. It will also be released in IMAX formats across the world.
Cocktail 2 - June 19
The romantic dramedy features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles and shares a modern take on relationships and friendship. It is directed by Homi Adajania, who also helmed the first part.
#NTRNeel (Dragon) - June 25
Prashanth Neel, the blockbuster filmmaker behind the “KGF” franchise and “Salaar,” has collaborated with Jr NTR for a pan-India actioner. Costarring Rukmini Vasanth, it is bankrolled by NTR Arts and Mythri Movie Makers.
Welcome To The Jungle - June 26
The Ahmed Khan-directed comic-caper promises to take audiences on a laughter ride with its hilarious punchlines and witty one-liners. The film features an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Daler Mehndi, Farida Jalal, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Kiran Kumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Nawab Shah, Urvashi Rautela, Puneet Issar, Arjun Firoz Khan, the late Pankaj Dheer, Sudesh Berry, Hemant Pandey, Zakir Hussain and Sayaji Shinde and is produced by Firoz A. Supergirl - June 26
The superhero flick stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham and Jason Momoa. Based on the eponymous character from DC Comics, it is directed by Craig Gillespie.
