‘Vadh 2’ And ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ Box-Office: New Films’ Combined Business Less Than A Crore
The month of February has started abysmally for Bollywood as both new releases - “Vadh 2” & “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain” opened to poor responses at the box office. While the Sanjay Mishra, Kumud Mishra and Neena Gupta starrer earned around ₹50 lakhs, the Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre and Vidisha Srivastava starrer, which is based on the popular television IP of the same name, raked in merely ₹23 lakhs.

However, the only silver lining in this scenario remains the collections of “Vadh 2,” as the first part took a week to reach the opening day numbers of its spiritual sequel.
While the BOGO (Buy One Get One) offer has helped “Vadh 2” to get some kind of reach, a decent-to-positive word-of-mouth can help the movie to witness a hike on Saturday and Sunday to get a respectable first weekend total.
On the other hand, “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain” needs a miraculous growth to cover its lost ground at the ticket windows. Despite the original show enjoys a ‘cult’ status, the movie failed to attract an audience, and since the reception is strictly average, the film has a negligible chance to show an upward trend.
“Vadh 2” is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and bankrolled by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films. Talking about “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain,” it is helmed by Shashank Bali and co-stars Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav.
Both films have six days to perform in the cinema halls as two new releases will arrive next Friday in the form of Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Vikrant Massey, Disha Patani, Nana Patekar and Avinash Tiwary starrer “O’Romeo” and “Tu Yaa Main” featuring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav.
